VirtuSense Technologies, Inc. (“VirtuSense,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the VirtuSense mobile application and related services (collectively the “Services”) . This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and delete information when you use the Services.

Scope / Territory Notice: The Services are intended for use in the United States.

  1. 1. Information We Collect
  2. We collect the categories of information listed below. The specific data collected depends on your role (e.g., patient/user, care provider staff) and the features you use.

  1. 1.1 Information You Provide
    • - Account information: name, email address, phone number, organization/facility (if applicable), and login credentials (e.g., username/password or authentication token).
    • - Profile/demographic information (if provided): date of birth/age and similar details.
    • - Support communications: information you include when you contact us (e.g., issue descriptions, attachments, and correspondence).
  1. 1.2 Health and Care-Related Information (Sensitive / Health Data)
  2. If the Services are used in connection with care delivery, the Services may process health-related information provided by you or your Care Provider, such as assessment results, observations, risk indicators, care-related notes, and progress information, to support the intended functionality of the Services.

  1. 1.3 Google Fit Data (Fitness / Wellness Data)
  2. If you choose to connect Google Fit, we may access and use certain fitness and wellness data that you authorize through Google Fit, such as activity and workout information (for example: activity type, duration, step count, calories burned, distance, and similar fitness metrics), and any other Google Fit data types you specifically grant permission for. We only access Google Fit data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. 1.4 Health Connect Data (Fitness / Wellness Data)
  2. If you choose to connect Android Health Connect, we may access and use certain fitness and wellness data that you authorize through Health Connect. This may include activity and workout information (for example: steps, distance, calories, active minutes, exercise sessions), and other Health Connect data types you specifically grant permission for. We only access Health Connect data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. You can revoke Health Connect permissions at any time in your device’s Health Connect settings, and you can disconnect Google Fit at any time in your Google Fit settings.

  1. 1.5 Health Connect Data (Fitness / Wellness Data)
    • - Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and device identifiers (as applicable).
    • - Log and usage data: app interactions, feature usage, access times, diagnostic logs.
    • - Network information: IP address and approximate location inferred from IP (country/state level) for security and fraud prevention.
    • - Crash and performance data: crash reports, error logs, performance metrics.
  1. 1.6 Permissions and Device Features
  2. The app may request access to certain device features depending on the version and features enabled. Examples may include camera (to capture images/video if a feature requires it), storage/photos (to upload or save files), and access to Google Fit and/or Health Connect (to read authorized fitness and wellness data if you connect them). You can manage permissions in your device settings and in Google Fit / Health Connect settings.

  2. We use information to:
    • - Provide and operate the Services (including account creation, authentication, and core functionality).
    • - Support care workflows where applicable (e.g., sharing relevant information with your Care Provider).
    • - Use Google Fit and/or Health Connect data if connected to enable features you request (e.g., displaying or using fitness/wellness metrics within the Services as part of your experience).
    • - Improve and maintain the Services (debugging, analytics, feature development, and performance monitoring).
    • - Security and fraud prevention (monitoring, auditing, and detecting malicious or unauthorized activity).
    • - Customer support (responding to requests and troubleshooting).
    • - Legal and compliance (complying with legal obligations and enforcing agreements).
  1. 3. How We Share Information
  2. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
    • - With your Care Provider / facility to provide the Services and support care delivery (as applicable).
    • - With service providers (processors) that help us host, operate, secure, analyze, or support the Services, under confidentiality and security obligations.
    • - For legal reasons if required by law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
    • - In connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets), subject to safeguards.
    • - As de-identified/aggregated information that does not identify you, for analytics and improvement.
    • Google Fit / Health Connect: We do not share your Google Fit or Health Connect data with third parties for advertising. We use it only to provide the Services and features you request.
  1. 4. Data Retention
  2. We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and why we collected it:
    • - Account data: retained while your account is active and for 7 years after deactivation, unless a longer period is required by law or contract.
    • - Health/care-related data (including any Google Fit or Health Connect data stored in our systems): retained for 7 years or as directed by your Care Provider / applicable law.
    • - Support tickets and communications: retained for 3 years.
    • - Logs, diagnostics, and security records: typically retained for 180 days unless needed longer for investigations or compliance.
    • After the retention period ends, we delete or de-identify information in accordance with our retention and deletion procedures.
  1. 5. How We Delete Data
  2. You can request correction, update, deletion, or deactivation of your personal information by emailing us at Info@virtusensetech.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
    • - Account deletion: upon request, we will delete or de-identify your account data, subject to legal/contractual retention requirements.
    • - Health/care-related data: if your Care Provider controls certain records, we may need to coordinate with your Care Provider to process deletion requests, and some records may need to be retained under applicable law.
    • - Google Fit / Health Connect permissions: you can disconnect Google Fit and revoke Health Connect permissions at any time; after disconnection/revocation, we will stop accessing those sources going forward.
    • - Backups: deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period (typically 35 days) before being overwritten or securely destroyed.
  1. 6. Your Choices and Rights
    • - Access/correction: you may request access to or correction of certain information.
    • - Deletion: you may request deletion as described above.
    • - Permissions: you can change device permissions in your device settings.
    • - Google Fit / Health Connect: you can connect/disconnect and grant/revoke access through Google Fit and Health Connect settings and/or the app settings (where available).

  2. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
  1. 8. Children’s Privacy
  2. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
  1. 9. International Users
  2. The Services are intended for use in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws.

  2. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the “Last Updated” date above.
